Alpha Phi Founded at Syracuse University.
On the afternoon of September 18, 1872, Martha Foote Crow was visiting her friends Clara Sittser Williams and Kate Hogoboom Gilbert in their boarding house at Syracuse University. Martha mused, “Why can’t we have a society as well as the men?”
