NIF

The North American Interfraternal Foundation (NIF) is a 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to promoting and supporting leadership, educational and research initiatives that advance the North American college fraternal experience.

Programs of the NIF include:

  • Scholarships and fellowships awarded to undergraduate and graduate members of social and professional fraternities and sororities
  • Sponsorship of the College Fraternity Editors Association, Inc. (CFEA) awards to encourage and recognize constructive, positive fraternity magazine articles about student life and the fraternity system
  • Grants to organizations for educational programming that supports the mission of the foundation

About NIF Scholarships

Each year, the North American Interfraternal Foundation makes annual scholarship and fellowship awards to undergraduate and graduate initiated members of NIC, NPC, NPHC, and PFA fraternities.

Undergraduate Scholarships are:

  • James H. McLaughlin Scholarship: Awarded annually for outstanding fraternal leadership to students enrolled in Canadian universities.
  • Mary Louise Roller Panhellenic Scholarship Awarded to an undergraduate woman who plans to attend graduate school the following fall.

Graduate Scholarships are:

  • Lloyd G. Balfour Provides financial assistance to full-time students who are enrolled in accredited graduate or professional schools.
  • Jack Anson Fellowship Presented annually to a current or former staff member of a national social fraternity or sorority who is currently enrolled or has applied for graduate study at an accredited college or university.
