Congratulations to our Silver Division SELF Challenge winner, the Gamma Kappa chapter at CSU/Long Beach! Gamma Kappa is the two-time silver winner for the Challenge, which promotes good health through nutrition and exercise.
Annie Williams, Gamma Kappa Chapter President, said, "The most exciting part of winning the Challenge is knowing that we have encouraged others to become the best they can be physically and emotionally."
For their SELF sponsored event, the Gamma Kappa chapter spent the day together at Disneyland and made Phi Bears at Build-a-Bear Workshop in downtown Disney. Chapter President Annie Williams said the following about the chapter's participation in this year's Challenge: "Our chapter decided to take part again this year after seeing the great effects the Challenge had on us last year. It's a fun way to bond as sisters while improving your overall health and fitness."
Last year, the Gamma Kappa chapter spent a relaxing day at Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona, California. They participated in an array of activities including mineral baths, a therapeutic red clay mud bath, lounge pools and a yoga class. To see pictures and read more about last year's event, click here.
