Purpose of ELC Program

Educational Leadership Consultants (ELCs) are recently graduated women who travel for the Fraternity to provide additional support for our chapters.  Every chapter receives a visit each year by an International representative the ELC program makes this possible.  Our consultants help chapters with goal setting, recruitment, officer training, idea sharing, programming, operations, and so much more.

ELC Credentials

-        Receive 3 - 4 weeks of training at the Executive Office by experienced staff and volunteers on Alpha Phi policies, procedures, and best practices

-        Attend and help facilitate Alpha Phi events and conferences ranging from Convention, VIPhi, Recruitment University (based on summer offering)

-        Multiple trainings throughout the year to received advanced training, Fraternity updates, professional development, and shared learning from other ELCs

-        Continuous knowledge, ideas, and experience gained from interaction with other chapters

-        Proven outstanding service to their own chapter and campus

ELC Assignments

There is only one type of ELC position, but ELCs have varying assignments /visits on the road.

-        Outreach to a chapter to assist with the chapter's overall planning and development

-        Share ideas and best practices from other chapters

-        ELCs meet with the executive board members, many of the directors, the advisory board and University officials

Recruitment Visit

-        Specific visit to support a chapter with polish week, recruitment training, COB, or formal recruitment

-        Often these visits are brief and can begin/end during formal recruitment

-        ELCs meet with the recruitment team, advisory board and University officials as well as other chapter officers as time allows

Extension Visit

-        ELCs provide on-site support to colonies or chapters in their first few years

-        Visits provide a foundation and contact for a colony before charter members are recruited and take office

-        Generally these visits are longer and consultants are stationed at a campus anywhere from a few weeks to a month at time
