Purpose of ELC Program
Educational Leadership Consultants (ELCs) are recently
graduated women who travel for the Fraternity to provide
additional support for our chapters. Every chapter
receives a visit each year by an International
representative � the ELC program makes this possible.
Our consultants help chapters with goal setting,
recruitment, officer training, idea sharing,
programming, operations, and so much more.
ELC Credentials

Receive
3 - 4 weeks of training at the Executive Office by
experienced staff and volunteers on Alpha Phi policies,
procedures, and best practices

Attend
and help facilitate Alpha Phi events and conferences
ranging from Convention, VIPhi, Recruitment University
(based on summer offering)

Multiple trainings throughout the year to received
advanced training, Fraternity updates, professional
development, and shared learning from other ELCs
-
Continuous knowledge, ideas, and experience gained from
interaction with other chapters

Proven
outstanding service to their own chapter and campus
ELC Assignments
There
is only one type of ELC position, but ELCs have varying
assignments /visits on the road.
General Visit
-
Routine
visits not necessarily during a specific event or time
period
-
Outreach to a chapter to assist with the chapter's
overall planning and development

Share
ideas and best practices from other chapters

ELCs
meet with the executive board members, many of the
directors, the advisory board and University officials
Recruitment Visit
-
Specific visit to support a chapter with polish week,
recruitment training, COB, or formal recruitment
-
Often
these visits are brief and can begin/end during formal
recruitment

ELCs
meet with the recruitment team, advisory board and
University officials as well as other chapter officers
as time allows
Extension Visit
-
ELCs
provide on-site support to colonies or chapters in their
first few years

Visits
provide a foundation and contact for a colony before
charter members are recruited and take office

Generally these visits are longer and consultants are
stationed at a campus anywhere from a few weeks to a
month at time |
