Founders' Day in a Box Resources

Alpha Phi Founders' Day is October 10th and we hope that your alumnae chapter will be hosting an event to celebrate! The Executive Office has put together some resources for your chapter to assist in the planning of your event. 

October 10, 2016 is Alpha Phi's 144th Founders' Day. 

Alpha Phi Supplies

You are not required to purchase any Alpha Phi items for your Founders' Day event but many people inquire on where to purchase items. Below are Alpha Phi vendors that have event supplies that you might be interested in:

Anniversary Pins

Pin Sisters who have reached an anniversary (10, 25, 40, 50, 65, 75). If your chapter has funding for this or if individuals contribute to a pin. Ensure that you order the pin far enough in advance. Order pins here. Questions about pin orders can be directed to Cassandra Ryan at  

Alpha Phi Foundation

Alpha Phi Foundation can supply giveaways and items for a silent auction. Below are the items that you can request from the Foundation:

Large Quantities (i.e. one for every attendee)
  • Alpha Phi Foundation pens (red) all black ink
  • Donation envelope
  • Programs postcard
Small Quantities (i.e. group one of each item for silent auction basket)
  • Lunch totes
  • Neckerchiefs
  • Luggage tags
  • Earbuds
  • Red Dress Ornaments
  • Key Fobs 
Please request these items at least three (3) weeks in advance of your event in order to allow the Foundation to ship them to you. Contact Angela Accurso at 847.316.8955 or to request items.

Marketing Your Event

Submit your event to the calendar. This way all alumnae know when your event is! Click here to submit your event. 

Invitations should be sent to alumnae 3 weeks prior to the event. Invitations can be sent out via email and/or USPS. The Save the Date and Invitation templates above can be printed or attached to an email as a PDF or image in the body of the email. As always, Alpha Phi suggests using MailChimp to send communications.  

Use the mailing list that your alumnae chapter receives on the 15th of every month for your invitations. This ensures that you are reaching all alumnae in your area, especially those who might have just moved in! This is a great way to connect with new alumnae and engage members. 

After your event don't forget to submit information for the Quarterly! Submit photos and stories here.
