1. What are the benefits of membership?

The benefits are unlimited. Each sister your Alpha Phi meets and becomes friends with will enhance her membership experience. She will find herself growing as a person and as a student while learning more about the world around her. When she pledges herself to Alpha Phi, she is a member for four exciting college years and a lifetime to come.

2. Does Alpha Phi haze?

No. Alpha Phi is a sisterhood founded on mutual love, respect and dedication to the pursuit of the highest ideal of womanhood. Membership in Alpha Phi is an opportunity for college women to develop educationally, emotionally, physically and socially in a safe environment. To this end, the sisterhood provides the support and the lasting friendships that foster this growth. All members of Alpha Phi are treated with dignity and respect – and without hazing. Alpha Phi sponsors an Anti-Hazing Hotline to help end hazing on all campuses and among all organizations

3. What is your membership selection policy?

Alpha Phi International Fraternity is a private membership organization. Members are selected following a series of meetings, socials and interviews by existing members of the Fraternity from among the female students attending the same college or university where an Alpha Phi chapter or colony exists. Women selected for membership in Alpha Phi must have good scholarship, be of good character, have an interest in activities that will enhance the academic atmosphere at the college or university and have a sincere desire to contribute to the work of the Fraternity.

4. What can a new member expect?
A new member can expect a six-week program to introduce her to her new sorority. This is a time of getting to know the women in her new member class and all the women in the chapter. She will learn about Alpha Phi’s past, present and future while gathering a greater understanding of the lifelong commitment that is membership in Alpha Phi.
