Internship
Opportunity - Communications Department
Students will have the opportunity to gain first-hand
experience in one or more of the following areas of focus:
* Magazine Publication
* Public Relations
Internship Description: The intent of this
16-week internship program is to provide students with the
opportunity to gain professional hands-on communication
experience in the not-for-profit sector. Students will work with
the internship coordinator to develop a curriculum of focus to
build a professional work portfolio. Internships are based in
Evanston, Ill. and are unpaid. Candidates must be able to
receive academic credit.
Completing an internship with Alpha Phi International, Inc.,
does not guarantee employment with the organization.
Requirements: Ideal candidates should be
majoring in communications, journalism, public relations or a
related discipline. Must be a self-starter, have excellent
written and oral communications skills, the ability to manage
multiple projects and work in a team environment. Knowledge of
Associated Press style highly desirable.
