Alpha Phi Now

  • Joanna Guy (Delta-Cornell) was crowned Miss Maryland and will represent Maryland at the Miss America 2013 pageant.
  • Calista Kirby (Nu-Nebraska) was crowned Miss South Dakota and will represent South Dakota at the Miss America 2013 pageant.
  • Taylor Kinzler (Iota Delta-Rhode Island) was crowned Miss Massachusetts and will represent Massachusetts at the Miss America 2013 pageant.
  • Kim Kelleher (Iota-Wisconsin), former publisher of Self, Sports Illustrated and Time Magazine, has been named President of Say Media, the blog network that includes sites such as XOJane, Gardenista, ReadWriteWeb, Style Bubble and Techdirt.
  • Jodi White (Xi-Toronto),former Chief of Staff to the Canadian Prime Minister, received the Frances E. Willard Award, Alpha Phi's highest honor for an alumna awarded at Convention each biennium.
  • Jodi Brooks Allen (Iota-Wisconsin),a National Emmy award-winning journalist, received the Frances E. Willard Award, Alpha Phi's highest honor for an alumna awarded at Convention each biennium.
  • Emily Anne Staples Tuttle (Epsilon-Minnesota), the first Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) woman elected to the Minnesota Senate, received the Frances E. Willard Award, Alpha Phi's highest honor for an alumna awarded at Convention each biennium.
  • Ugwechi Amadi (Zeta Phi-MIT) was named a Rhodes Scholar and is the recipient of Alpha Phi's Martha Foote Crowe Award.
  • Linda Long Boland (Gamma Kappa-CSU Long Beach) was elected to serve the Fraternity as International President this biennium.
