Hand to Hand, Heart to Heart

Alpha Phis are sisters for life. We support one another and help each other in times of need. To complement existing Alpha Phi services to assist members facing serious health problems, natural disasters or other crises, here you will find some of these special and unique requests when it is most needed.

Helen Torrance (Delta Upsilon-Baldwin-Wallace) is currently undergoing treatment for lung cancer. We ask that our sisters keep her in their thoughts and prayers as she continues to battle her cancer.

Monica Francis Simonsen (Delta Zeta-Maryland) and her husband adopted a boy, Stanley, from Haiti and are in the process of bringing him home. They have created a blog http://stanleyandfamily.blogspot.com/ and they have set up a foundation to help their son's orphanage now and in the future. The outpouring of support has been unbelievable. To learn more, please visit http://pachaitifund.bbnow.org/.
Otherwise, please consider other ways you can help the people of Haiti and please keep the Simonsen family in your thoughts while they continue the process of getting Stanley home.
