What Information Should I Provide? 

v    Promote your chapter's upcoming events!*

v       In addition to upcoming events, we want to hear about recent activities*
o
        philanthropy events and community service
o
        chapter anniversary celebrations
o
        events with alumnae
o
        individual achievements, awards and recognitions
o
        recruitment results
o        sisterhood events

* Keep in the mind the following timeline when submitting copy:

Quarterly Issue   Copy/Photos Due Quarterly Issue Mails
Winter Issue   Oct. 15 Mid-January
Spring Issue   Jan. 15 Mid-April
Summer Issue   April 15 Mid-July
Fall Issue   July 15 Mid-October

Tips / Guidelines

v      Write in third person: “they” rather than “we.”

v       Use the term collegian or collegiate member rather than collegiate when referring to Alpha Phi collegians. Use the term alumna or alumnae rather than alum/alumnus/alumni when referring to Alpha Phi alumnae.

v    Reference collegiate chapters in the following format: School (Chapter)
e.g., Alumnae members attended the Syracuse (Alpha) Red Dress Gala.

v    Reference member names in the following format:
First Maiden Last (Chapter-School)
e.g., Sisters honored Martha Foote Crow (Alpha-Syracuse) during the ceremony.

v    On Campus Photo Submissions: Digital photos must be submitted in a separate e-mail and attached  as .tif or .jpg files; photos will only be printed in the magazine if they are high resolution images (at least 3 in. x 5 in. at 300 dpi); e-mail to quarterly@alphaphi.org. Hard copy photos should be mailed separately (including your name, contact information and photo caption identifying those pictured) to Alpha Phi Quarterly, 1930 Sherman Ave., Evanston, IL 60201.

Unless otherwise requested, all photos sent to the magazine will become the property of Alpha Phi International and will not be returned. Materials received after the noted deadlines will be considered for the following issue.
