Exercise Your Right to Vote!

The 2008 U.S. federal, state and local elections are just around the corner. The deadlines to register to vote begin as early as Oct. 4, 2008. For specific registration deadlines in your state, click here. Visit any of the voting web sites below to learn more about how to register and the voting process.

Educate yourself
Do you know who the candidates are for U.S. president, U.S. Congress and offices within your state? Are you aware of the political issues affecting you on a local, state and national level?
Visit any of the voting web sites below to learn more about candidates and for other voting resources.

Next step: vote on Nov. 4, 2008!  If you are a U.S. citizen and 18 years of age or older, it is your right.

Be part of history
The 2008 presidential election is the first time in U.S. history that an African American is a presidential nominee for a major party. With a woman as the vice presidential nominee for a major party (for the second time in U.S. history), if either major party wins, the outcome will be historical.
