EVANSTON, ILL. –
The
Alpha Phi Quarterly and Transitions: The
Magazine for Alpha Phi's Newest Alumnae are
winners in the Spring 2007 Millennium Awards
competition. The Quarterly received a silver
level award, and Transitions received a
bronze award.
The Millennium Awards honor outstanding creativity,
skill, craft and talent in
television/film/video/commercials, print,
advertising, Web design, audio and radio. There were
more than 1,475 entries received, and only the top
five percent were recognized. Entries were judged on
a point system by award-winning, highly qualified
professionals in the communications industry. A list

For a fourth year in a row, the Alpha Phi
Quarterly also is a winner in the 2007 APEX
Awards for Publication Excellence competition. APEX
awards recognize excellence in publications work by
professional communicators, based on graphic design,
editorial content and ability to achieve overall
communications excellence. Out of close to 5,000
entries, 1,521 received an Award of Excellence. A

The Alpha Phi Quarterly
has been published continuously since its
establishment in 1888.
The purpose of the Alpha Phi
Quarterly
and its content is to
provide information and services to the collegiate
and alumnae membership of the Alpha Phi Fraternity.
The magazine is devoted to highlighting its members
and matters of fraternal and college interest.

Transitions: The Magazine for
Alpha Phi's Newest Alumnae was launched in 2005
to provide valuable post-college resources to new
graduates and promote lifetime involvement in Alpha
Phi. Topics found in Transitions include
financial management, workplace education, preparing
for graduate school and testimonials from recent
graduates. Transitions is sent to every
graduating Alpha Phi.
Alpha Phi International
Fraternity was founded at Syracuse University in
1872 as one of the first Greek societies for women.
Alpha Phi is dedicated to promoting sisterhood,
cultivating leadership, encouraging intellectual
curiosity and advocating service. The organization
is comprised of more than 140 collegiate chapters
and more than 140 alumnae chapters throughout the
United States and Canada. The Alpha Phi Foundation
is the Fraternity’s philanthropic and educational
partner. Through contributions from chapters,
individual members and friends, the Foundation
supports women’s cardiac health and other charitable
and educational projects. Together, Alpha Phi
International Fraternity and Foundation develop
character for a lifetime.
